Adam is a mentor in Personal Leadership, World History, Geography & World Events, World Lit, and more. He is amazing at helping students look at the world, its people, cultures, problems and beauty and showing students the opportunities they have to change it. His goal as a mentor is to help students to look inwardly and see themselves as they really are and then decide to become what they see. 

Lori Squires is the mother of seven grown children and 20 grandchildren (10 in homeschooling families).  She has been an elementary teacher, a math specialist, and a professional development instructor in Pre-K-5th mathematics education.  She certified as a consultant in Carol Tuttle’s Energy Profiling and Dressing Your Truth systems. Her passions are family, teaching and learning, and health.  Also a Certified Holistic Health Coach, Lori is currently focused on educating families about physical and emotional wellness with essential oils and healthy lifestyles.

Audrey Rindlisbacher has an intense love of learning! She, her husband and their six children all blog on their favorite books and run an on-going online book club at BooksYoullLove.com. As the CEO of Building Heroes Academy, a popular elementary-level family-style homeschool curriculum, Audrey currently writes curriculum and blogs about her day-to-day homeschooling experiences at BuildingHeroesAcademy.com. She loves traveling to conventions around the U.S. and sharing her passion for education with everyone she meets. Audrey has served on boards for educational organizations, spoken on radio and at conventions and rallies, has taught history, study skills, and literature at GWU and is a popular speaker and teacher. Audrey has a classical liberal arts bachelor's degree and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Philosophy and Religion from Harrison Middleton University.

Michelle Bowen has always loved working with children and has been directing and teaching Children’s music and performing Arts for the past eleven years.  She has “closed the curtain” on that adventure for now to educate her six children at home.  This new adventure began last year and has been the most fulfilling (and insane) experience of her life!  She and her husband, Brad, run Encore Profit Partners, a small business that helps schools raise funds through the production & duplication of DVDs.  They love to perform and sing together and enjoy catching up on a good show after the kids are all in bed.  Michelle does choreography for Elementary Music Productions & Tavaci Inc. and is the former chairman of Blackfoot Junior Miss (Distinguished Young Women).  She enjoys doing custom graphic design work and photography, but her favorite thing is reading a great story aloud with her kids all piled around her. 

Tami Maloney, wife to Superman and mother to the Fab4, has educated her children at home since conception. She loves books and bread (especially cinnamon rolls) and tries to crunch granola as often as possible. As a woman of faith, she heavily relies on the spirit to direct and also vehemently opposes things in society that damage the family. Her four children are awesome, but all know each one is her favorite. She couldn't be on this wonderful journey of home education without the constant and consistent support of her Superman.

Lisa Mann’s love for learning began at Brigham Young University as she worked on her B.A in History. She developed a real love for research from her wonderful professors who showed her that history could be more than just name, dates, and facts. For Lisa, history was a world filled with so many stories and wonder. She decided then and there to pursue her education and get a master's degree in History at Texas Woman's University in order to someday be a professor herself. But there was a change of plan when she got pregnant with her first baby halfway through her master's program. By the time she graduated, she was expecting her second. Lisa became a mommy and she has loved every moment of it.

But her journey to teach did not end by having children. A few years ago, she and her husband  determined that homeschooling was the path they needed to take. Lisa loves teaching, learning, and exploring alongside her children. There is nothing she enjoys more than seeing her kids’ eyes light up with excitement as they discover something new or when they experience an "Ah-hah" moment. Lisa and her children have just finished year three and while it has been difficult at times, the rewards have greatly outweighed the struggles. Lisa is a teacher and homeschooler. But most of all, she is a mom, and she cherishes that journey.

Miranda and her recently retired military husband are the parents of four children, three boys and one girl, ranging in age from 10 to 14. Their oldest son has Asperger’s, and their 12-year-old twins struggle with severe learning disabilities, ADHD, anxiety disorders and Pervasive Developmental Disorder. As a Ricks College student, Miranda had the opportunity of working as a volunteer with children with special needs and then later as an employee in a life skills center for disabled adults. The past few years, she has spent the majority of her time in special education classrooms, assisting students of various abilities access curriculum and develop life skills. All of these opportunities, along with her B.S. in Psychology, have helped her in raising children with behavioral, neurological, developmental, and mental health challenges. As a military spouse, she has lived in many different places, both stateside and overseas, and has witnessed a variety of systems for helping individuals with special needs, which has instilled in her a strong desire to always advocate for, not only her children, but all children that struggle with educational differences. Her path has lead Miranda to her newest adventure as a special education teacher. Yes, she has experienced her fair share of evaluation processes, hospital stays, treatment plans, prescriptions changes, and educational shifts, but at the end of the day, she recognizes that it is not the diagnoses, but rather her children’s hearts that matter most. Carla Jansen is a science teacher turned homeschooling mom.  She has taught general science, Biology, Earth Systems, Integrated Physics and Chemistry, and various workshops.  She has over 20 years of experience working with young children, and constantly learns new things from her own kiddos, who are 8, 5, and 2 years old.

The Lyman family began their homeschool adventure in 1994 when their two oldest children were in 1st and 2nd grade.  Lolly had been exposed to homeschooling several years before so when the Spirit began to whisper to her that she should explore that option, she was open to idea.  While every year has brought changes, growth and philosophy evolutions Lolly, her husband Ben, and their six children have never, ever, thought about going back to public school!
Since their homeschool journey began Lolly has always been involved in leading homeschool groups and co-ops wherever they have lived.  Her goal has always been to provide worthwhile learning experiences for own children as well as others. 
Homeschooling through high school can seem intimidating but the Lymans  are living proof it’s not only possible but fun! Four of the six Lyman children have graduated from high school and are in varying stages of obtaining their higher education and all plan on homeschooling their future children.
Lolly is beginning her 7th year as an early morning seminary teacher and when not involved a homeschool activity she loves to crochet and read.

Amber Stecher is a Home Educated Texas native.  At age 16 she started her college career and graduated from BYU with a BA in Music in 3 yrs. She spent the interim between college and marriage traveling in Europe, teaching piano and working for expatriate families in Paris. She considers this to be one of her greatest educational experiences, second only to the privilege of being married and teaching her 7 children.  
Amber’s first formal introduction to Charlotte Mason as a teacher was reading ‘For the Children’s Sake’ by Susan Schaeffer Macaulay when her oldest boys were small.  She developed a testimony of these ideas and has continued to add Charlotte Mason’s practices into her family.  She considers herself a “Tidal Homeschooler” alluding to her passion for the ocean and the correlation between life and the tide and feels Charlotte Mason would completely approve.
Amber loves teaching, exploring, camping, doing yoga, reading and writing but her absolute favorite thing is traveling with her family.  She dreams of getting back into the medical field and working for the LDS church in disaster relief when she grows up.

Christy Edgel grew up in Utah, where she attended BYU,  Dixie State College, and Salt Lake Community College. She has worked as a substitute teacher, a licensed real estate agent, owned her own business managing 65 rental homes, office manager, and piano teacher.  She has volunteered as secretary of community council, served on the PTA board, been room mother multiple times, served as relief society president, and many times as primary president.  However , mothering her 4 children has always been her passion and priority and having  children who have anxiety, depression, gifted needs and Aspergers has led her to advocate for gifted needs in her children's schools, as well as embrace homeschooling off and on throughout the years. Her oldest son graduated 2 years early and entered University of Houston at age 16 with a 4 year academic scholarship, and her  2nd son is currently attending public high school while she homeschools her 2 youngest. She and her husband, Jesse, have been married 21 years and currently reside in Cypress,TX. 

Tatiana loved being homeschooled throughout most of her elementary and high school years in San Antonio, Texas. She graduated in Elementary Education (with plans to homeschool her own children) with a minor in Spanish Teaching from Brigham Young University.  She and her husband Eric have been married 12 years and have four children with another baby due in September.  They have lived in Utah, Minnesota, Southern California and now in the Houston area for the last two years.  She loves the challenge of teaching each of her children with their unique learning styles and helping them develop a love for learning.  Throughout her six years of homeschooling her own children, she does not follow one specific homeschool philosophy, but enjoys using the parts of different methods that work best for her family.  As a teenager, she lived with her family in Honduras for three years.  She has a passion for the Spanish language and Latin American culture.  Her family enjoys spending their summers in Costa Rica to build friendships, practice Spanish, and see the natural beauty there.  She loves trying new dessert recipes, playing the piano, going to the library, and finding new local places or field trips to explore with her family. 

Born in Big Spring, Texas, Ginger Beckstead converted to the LDS Church at age sixteen. She received her degree in Secondary Education Spanish from Brigham Young University.  She homeschooled her five children in San Antonio where she founded and led American Heritage Homeschool Group and started the HEB Family Homeschool Camp.  All of her children have graduated from Brigham Young University, and most have homeschooled their children.  Her passion for teaching continues as she gives classes in Spanish, History, Creative Writing and Reading to her grandchildren and other homeschoolers even when the classes have to be over Skype.  She and her husband lived in Latin American for eight years, three of which her husband served as mission president in Honduras.  They served as President and Matron of the San Antonio, Texas Temple from 2011 to 2014. She currently serves as a seminary teacher.
