Hi, my name is Nicole Carter. I was born and raised in Orem, Utah. I grew up in a very artistic family where I developed a passion for dance, literature, writing, and music.  At the ripe old age of 19, I married a handsome man and was uprooted and moved across the country to Texas where we have grown up together and added four children to our family.  My children went to public school until my oldest was in fourth grade. At that time, because of the academic challenges of one of my children, I decided to do a one year experiment on homeschooling.  I fell in love with the lifestyle and here I am.

There is no other way to describe how I became involved with lds-nha other than divine providence.  When I began homeschooling I felt like every aspect of my life began to fall into place. I have developed friendships with some amazing women who have been angels to me in this process. I have been humbled as I have learned from them and I have drawn from their strength and experience. Through the monthly meetings that I have shared with 40 women in my home, I have felt a love for homeschooling mothers. These women have made great sacrifices to do something that, in most cases, they hadn't planned on, but felt prompted to do.   These women have been willing to share their joys, their sorrows and their passion and love for their children with me.   It is through these relationships that I have been inspired to attempt to lighten the burdens of the homeschool mom. I don't want anyone to feel alone in this journey. I want to share with you what these women have shared with me. I want you to feel strengthened, supported, and understood as I have been.  Many of them have contributed to this website.  I thank them from the bottom of my heart.

Of course I wouldn't even be in this mess without my partner in crime, LeeAnna Irving.  She comes from a legacy of homeschooling and I'm excited to be in this with her and her amazing husband.
