About Me

Howdy! My name is Bethany. I've have the pleasure of being the wife of a hot Italian man named Marcus for the past 8 years and the mom of two adventurous kids;  Jillian, 6 and Luke, 4. I was called to serve as primary president one month before I had planned to began home schooling my oldest and (by the grace of God) have loved doing both! My family are all Texas natives and now live in a northern suburb of Houston where we enjoy countless activities and making tons of memories. I enjoy geeky things such as quotes, organizing and researching. I spend my free time on Pinterest or in a good book usually of the fictional sort.

My homeschooling story...

When the summer came to enroll Jillian in Kindergarten I was just sick with it. The thought of my daughter being away from me all day... I just couldn't think of it with out the knots forming in my stomach. Then, a home schooling cousin came over with their large family and brought blissful chaos into our home.  I'll never forget when they left. Marcus and I sat down silently on the couch and just looked at each other and said, "I think we need to home school." "I think so, too." Suddenly the sickness went away like a reverse waterfall leaving my body. In that moment I knew it was what the Lord wanted for our family. I also knew that if it was what He wanted then He would make up what I lacked and there would be made a way for me to do this thing called Home school. 

Why I'm blogging....

Did you know only 5% percent of adults are hands on learners but all kids are? Well, I just happen to be of that 5% and I a excited to share my journey of putting these hands to use with all of you! This is all meant as inspiration. Never compare or feel intimidated or inadequate. Just take what you need, add to it, mix it around- whatever works best for your family.
